Construction of a multifunction complex Nest ONE on the territory of IBC Tashkent City

Customer: OZGUVEN TASARIM MIMARLIK INSAAT SANAYI VE TICARET A.S.
End Customer: MURAD BUILDINGS

Project purpose: One of the tallest buildings in Central Asia the Nest One (266.5 m) will become the special project, built based on the international standards, with impeccable architectural design and residential premises that are designed in compliance with the Nest comfort standards. The skyscraper at this moment is being constructed on the territory of the IBC Tashkent City.

Scope of work:

-          development of the Special technical conditions (STC) for the Project together with the Customer and providing it for the revision and approval of the Minstroy (Ministry of Construction), as well as approval and technical support of the Customer during the approval process;

-          development of additional calculations for the STC, if required;

-          revision of the detail design documentation for the compliance with the norms and requirements of the legislation of RUz and provision of the recommendations to the developed detail design documentation in the form of comments in English;

-          support during the development of detailed design and analysis of design solutions used by the Customer;

-          consultation of the Customer during the development of the documentation up to the Approved For Construction (AFC) revision, required for construction activities in Uzbekistan, providing timely advice and instructions on data submission and documents customization and formatting in accordance with the legislation of RUz.

-          support during the expert review of detailed design developed under the Project in Ministroy; Timely provision of information on the status and comments received from Minstroy;

-          design of all the connections to the external communications (connection to the gas, water and electric supply networks, etc.).

Long term technical and consulting support during operation and re-design of different facilities of Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex

Customer: JV “Uz-Kor Gas Chemical” LLC

The Ustyurt Gas Chemical Complex consists of five gas separation units, ethylene production facility, polyethene, polypropylene production units, energy generation facilities and has up-to-date infrastructure facilities.

The project was realized in conjunction with Korean companies such as Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS), Lotte and STX Energy. Samsung Engineering, GS Engineering and Hyundai Engineering also participated in the project as the General Contractors of the project. Uz-Kor Gas Chemical was founded by Uzbek and Korean companies in May 2008 with a purpose of development, financing, construction and operation of the integrated project on the processing of oil and gas in Ustyurt region, Uzbekistan. The cost of the project made up 4 billion USD.

Scope of work: Provision of the integrated engineering services, including adaptation and development of the project documentation, technical consultation, designer supervision, support and participation in commissioning works of utility facilities.

Construction of a chemical complex on production of ammonia and urea in Navoiy

Customer: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries

Project purpose: Construction of a complex on production of 660 thous. tons of ammonia and 577.5 thous. tons of urea per year by the integration of the technologies of the leading world licensors, particularly: on ammonia - Haldor Topsoe (Denmark), on synthesis and granulation of the urea - Saipem (Italy) and Uhde Fertilizer Technology (Netherlands).


Scope of work: Providing integrated engineering services, including the development of the design documentation for HVAC; technical consultation; delivery, mounting and start-up and commissioning of the firefighting equipment; installation and technical maintenance of the CCTV systems; delivery and mounting of illumination devices; delivery and mounting of the electric power supply systems for HVAC; organization of an independent CCTV system; start-up and commissioning of the firefighting system.

Implementation period: 2018 – 2020.

Expansion of Navoi TPP with construction of the second combined cycle plant of 450 MW

Project purpose:

Construction of CCP-2 of 450 MW.

Scope of work:

·         The works on the calculation of the category on explosion and fire safety of the premises, buildings and external installations as per the ShNK 2.01.19-09 for the project “Expansion of Navoi TPP with construction of the second combined cycle plant of 450 MW (CCPP Navliy-2)” and their approval with the relevant state bodies of RUz.

·         revision of the detail design documentation for the compliance with the norms and requirements of the legislation of RUz and provision of the recommendations to the developed detail design documentation in the form of comments in English;

·         Development and approval of the detail design documentation for installation of an additional pipeline-receiver in the fuel gas supply line of CCP-2 and Navoiy TPP.

Implementation period: 2016 – 2020.

  • Revision of design documentation of fire safety for the compliance with requirements of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the frames of Uzbekistan GTL project;

  • Rendering consultative services on fire safety within the frames of the project on production of liquefied synthetic fuel GTL (GAS-TO-LIQUID) in the Republic of Uzbekistan;

  • Revision of firefighting design documentation for the compliance with (existing) norms and rules effective on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

  • Performance of category calculations of premises, buildings and external installations of CPF and Kandym group of fields on explosion and fire safety as per ShNK 2.01.19 in the frame of the project “Construction of a plant on production of liquefied synthetic fuel GTL (GAS-TO-LIQUID) in Uzbekistan”.

Utilization of the low pressure gases at gas fields South Kemachi, Kruk, Western Kruk, Northern Urtabulak and Umid - BCS South Kemachi

End Customer: GAZPROM JV in Uzbekistan
General Contractor: Enter Engineering Pte., Ltd. (Singapore)

Project purpose:

Construction of the low pressure gases gathering system and the booster compressor stations (BCS) for utilization of the associated oil gases in the volume 2.6 million m3/day (0.955 billn m3/year) produced by the flare systems of the oil and condensate degassing units at Western Kruk, Kruk, Northern Urtabulak, Umid fields, and the separated gas of the Gas Complex Preparation Terminal of South Kemachi, and by supplying the compressed gas to the GCPT South Kemachi for treatment and further transportation to the CPF for processing.

Scope of work:

Development of the technical conditions (TC) on the turn-key basis, feasibility study of the project and development of the detailed design documentation:

  • Stage - 1. Development of the technical specifications for the construction of the facility “Utilization of the low pressure associated gases on South Kemachi, Kruk, Western Kruk, Northern Urtabulak, Umid fields” on a turn-key basis.

  • Stage - 2. Development of TEO of the project.

  • Stage - 3. Development of the base project documentation.

  • Stage - 4. Development of the detailed design documentation in full set and scope which is required for the realization of the construction of the facility.

  • Stage - 5. Field construction supervision.

  • Stage - 6. Works on updating and approval of the process regulation.

  • Stage - 7. Execution of the works on development of the technical and engineering concept for the project “Construction of a mini-GCPT on the territory of the BCS South Kemachi”.

Construction of CPF complex and development of Kandym Group of fields, Gas gathering system

Customer: “LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company” LLC
General Contractor: HYUNDAI ENGINEERING CO., LTD. (Korea)

Project purpose:

Development of gas fields (Kandym, Accum, Parsankul, Hodgi and Western Hodgi) located in Karakul area, Bukhara region of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The development of the Kandym group of fields provide the complex of works on the development of a unique production facility included:

  • more than 100 gas production wells;

  • gas gathering system with pipeline length more than 400 km;

  • gas processing plant of 8.1 billn.m3/year gas production;

  • export gas pipeline of more than 70 km length;

  • railroad of 56 km length;

  • external motor roads of 120 km length;

  • water supply facilities including 90 km length pipelines;

  • external power electric supply facilities (OHL 220kD, s/s 220/110/35 kV);

  • gas turbine power plant of more than 80 MW;

  • shift camp for 1380 people;

  • central support base;

  • commodity park and goods loading terminal;

  • treatment facilities;

  • booster compressor stations.

Scope of works for 2013:

A role in the works at FEED stage, an adaptation of the design documentation as per the norms and rules effective on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as support during obtaining of the required permissive documents and approvals during project implementation.

Scope of works for 2014:

The following works were performed during this year:

  • Performance of category calculations of premises, buildings and external installations of CPF and Kandym group of fields on explosion and fire safety as per ShNK 2.01.19 in the frame of the project “Construction of CPF complex and development of Kandym group fields”;

  • Revision of design documentation for the compliance with (existing) norms effective on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

  • Development of the industrial safety declaration of the hazardous production facility “Construction of CPF complex and development of Kandym group of fields” of project documentation developed at FEED stage.

Scope of works for 2015 - 2016:

Development of the detail design of the facilities of the CPF utilities area and the Kandym group of fields, gas gathering systems from the wells until the CPF, including the motor roads, High voltage transmission lines 10kD-35kV, structures, optical cable, external water supply pipelines, etc.;

in total more than 350 km of the pipeline system with the corresponding facilities.

Scope of works for 2016 - 2020:

The designer supervision for construction of the facility “Line facilities of gas gathering system of gas gathering stations of Kandym field: GS-1 and GS-2”;

Development of the DD for loading to r/r tanks at CPF and the railroad warehouse of the Utility area;

The complex of design works for the facility “Construction of the facility “Stabilized condensate loading unit to the railroad tanks at CPF Kandym. POL and methanol receiving and storage area at the Utility area”.

Engineering Design of booster compressor station (BCS) at Alan field

End Customer: Mubarek USC.
General Contractor: KMPO Motor Ltd (Russia)

Project purpose:

The BCS is used for compression of the gas in the volume of 5 billion m3/year.

Scope of work:

Development of the basic design and detailed design documentation and designer supervision.

Stage - 1. Development of main technical solutions for all disciplines, process calculations, development of the process flow diagrams (P&ID), datasheets.

Stage - 2. Development of the detailed design documentation in full set and scope which is required for the realization of the construction of the facility.

Stage - 3. Provision of designer construction supervision.

Work implementation period: 2014-2015

Development and adaptation of the Detail design of the Field support base at the gas field Djarkuduk-yangi Kizilcha

The scope of the works included the development and correction of the documentation. The design documentation was developed based on the approvable part of the detail design.

“Early gas of Kandym” group of fields and development of the  northern part of Shadi area, Kuvachi Alat fields, 1st start-up complex

End Customer: LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company.
General Contractor: Hyundai Engineering (Korea)

Project purpose:

Development of Kuvachi-Alat field located in Karakul district of Bukhara province of the Republic of Uzbekistan, for extraction of natural gas and associated condensate in the volume of 1.86 billion m3/year. 12 production wells are located on the contract site. Development of the northern part of Shadi area located in Alat district of Bukhara province of the Republic of Uzbekistan, for production of natural gas and the associated condensate in the volume of 0,7 bln m3/year. 9 production wells are located on the contract site.

Scope of work:

  • Development of FEED design documentation.

  • Development of detailed design documentation for the facilities of “Kuvachi Alat” and Northern Shady field, as well as provision of the designer construction supervision, namely:

  • Development of wells;

  • Gas flowlines from the wells until the gas gathering stations;

  • A gas collector from GGS until PGPT;

  • A metering gas header from GGS until PGPT;

  • Overhead line (OHL) 10kV;

  • Cathodic protection and power supply system for ECP means and gas flow lines;

  • 55 km gas pipeline from Kuvachi Alat PGPT to Northern Shadi PGPT;

  • Automobile road with a total length of 100 km;

  • Development of plot plans for wells, GGS, water intake facility and PGPT;

  • Development of buildings and structures at the PGPT.

Engineering Design of the second booster compressor station (BCS)
at Shurtan field

Customer: Shurtan USC
General Contractor: KMPO Motor Ltd (Russia)

Project purpose:

The “Booster compressor station-2 at Shurtan field” is used for compression of the gas with the decreasing input pressure from 2.0 to 0.5 MPa which is compressed until 3.0-3.6 MPa to provide the efficient operation of the existing BCS-1 Shurtan. The capacity of the gas compression at the BCS-2 is expected in the volume from 25.8 mill.m3/day for the year 2015 and decreasing upto 6.1 mill.m3/day for the year 2030. The gas to the inlet of the BCS-2 is supplied from the outlet of the Gas pre-treatment unit of PGPT-1, 2 Shurtan and from other fields of Shurtan group of fields.

Scope of work:

Development of the basic design and detailed design documentation and designer supervision.

Stage - 1. Development of main technical solutions for all disciplines, process calculations, development of the principal - process flow diagrams (PFD and P&ID), datasheets, specifications and list of equipment

Pre-preparation and development of the documentation for the construction of the booster compressor station (BCS) at gas field Northern Nishan

Customer: GAZPROM JV in Uzbekistan

Construction of booster compressor station at Northern Nishan field on a turn-key basis to maintain the pressure at the inlet to the gas processing unit during the decrease of the formation pressure. The BCS will provide the compression of the gas, supplied from the gas-condensate field in the volume of 6.02 million m3 a day with the outlet pressure of 31.5 bar at the beginning of the operation (2014) and 1.6 million m3 a day with the outlet pressure of 5.0 bar by the end of the operation period (2033). The outlet pressure from the BCS is 80.0 bar.

Scope of work:

  • Stage-1: Development of the TEO and support during approval with the state bodies.

  • Stage-2. Development of a base project of the BCS including the solutions of the base design. At this stage, the main technical solutions were implemented that touched all the sections of the project, process calculations, diagrams, datasheets, specifications and the list of equipment.

Construction of a Booster Compressor Station (BCS) to supply fuel gas to the CCP 478 MW “Navoiy”

Customer: State Joint Venture “Uzbekenergo”
Our role: EPCM

The first successful application of EPCM approach in Uzbekistan.
Project implementation: 8 months from the date of signing of the contract

Project description:

Construction of Gas Booster Compression Station (GBCS) with auxiliary equipment and infrastructure to provide 478MW CCP with fuel gas. Capacity 90 000 nm3/h of 2 centrifugal compressor units with an electrical drive.

Scope of work:

During the project implementation, the active application of project management scheme allowed the Customer to refrain from the scheme of project transferring to a single general contractor, as well as significantly reduce project cycle. Considering the average duration of similar projects in Uzbekistan of 24 months, “Uzbekenergo” has completed the whole project in 8 months from the date of engagement of East-West Engineering in the project. The basic and detailed design was fully done by the company in Uzbekistan.

Adamtash, Gumbulak and Jarkuduk - Yangi Kizilcha gas fields infrustucture

Customer: “LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company” LLC
Contractor: KNM PROCESS SYSTEMS SDN. BHD. (Malaysia).

The project was implemented under the contract with KNM for technical assistance in front-end engineering design and coordination of the local detail design “External water supply of Adamtash, Gumbulak and Djarkuduk - Yangi Kyzilcha” fields with the End Customer.

Scope of work:

  • Review and provision of written comments in terms of project documentation for the facility “External water supply of Adamtash, Gumbulak and Djarkuduk-Yangi Kyzylcha fields”  developed by OJSC “Uzsuvloyiha”.

  • Provision of technical and engineering services in order to bring the project documentation in compliance with the customer requirements.

  • Provision of technical and engineering services in order to bring the project documentation in compliance with the norms and regulations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the requirements of LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company.
